If you could do it all over again, what would your blog name be and why?
To be honest... I wouldn't have a clue!
My blog title is something I have talked about from time to time over the past year.
It surprisingly didn't take me long to come up with the title for my blog and if you've been with me from the start you'll know I started my blog around the same time I started the 12wbt. I had made the decision that it was 'time' I started to focus on myself and do something for me. I guess the full title of my blog is really "It's time for me"...
I had actually thought about blogging for some time. I do like to write, some times I used to think that I may actually have some stories that might be worth sharing but never really had the courage to do it.
Before I actually started this blog, I used to think that if I did have a blog I would blog about the ups and downs of being a single girl in this day and age, a kind of Carrie Bradshawesq type blog and the title would be something witty about being single and proud and you having to be awesome to change that, but really titles more along the lines of desperate and dateless were jumping to mind! Because lets be honest... my singe life is really not that exciting!
I am really happy with my title and I like that it allows me to continue it in the title of each post and I really wouldn't change it..
What about you? Do you like your blog title? Have you considered changing it? If so, what to? Or more importantly do you like the title of my blog?? (LOL...)
Oh I have whole lists of alternative titles each one sillier than the next. I like your title, it reminds of a song I like with the same title.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ness! :)
DeleteIt's tough being single in a world of so many couples, and I feel for you BUT you do seem to pack so much life into what little time you have after teaching, fitness etc. I do like your title, it's intriguing. I think my title should be - Have A Laugh On Me - sometimes, because more often than not I'm not actually very funny xx
ReplyDeleteI love your title Em and you do always make me smile! Be it through your posts or your comments on mine!
DeleteI really like your title and I think it fits well with your writing. I also love the new look (I like pink!)
ReplyDeleteI'm happy with my blog name, I wouldn't change it - can't really come up with anything more exciting anyway!
Thanks Francesca! I am really happy with my design now after having a bit of a play around!
DeleteHmmm I have thought about this often. I am used to my blog name now but it may limit me later when I no longer have to deal with floods or when the kids leave home and being a mum is not my primary focus. I like your blog title though! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Tanya...I suppose it would be hard to pick a title that is generic enough to describe you but also not 'date' over time as you move through different stages of life. I never really thought of any of that, just picked the first thing that came to mind!
DeleteI love your blog name - it's perfect for you! I really like how it's always "time" to discuss something here Zita. I hope you blog for a long time yet and thanks for being a regular and very valued confessor!
ReplyDeleteawww Thanks Kirsty! I love 'confessing' because it gives my post a purpose and I don't have to try and think of something myself! lol...
DeleteI've been wondering about your blog name for a little while, especially as your domain name is different and wondered how it came to be. I love your title, it just works on so many levels. Although it's a bit like Mystery Case in that it doesn't necessarily suggest what the blog might be about. I think that's where a tag line sometimes comes in handy.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I probably should do something about securing my domain name and changing it.. I would have done that in the first place if I had any idea what I was doing! lol... Have considered changing it for a while now but it all gets a bit techy and I freak out!
DeleteI wouldn't have much clue either, I have thought about it though. I guess I'm happy with it, but it seems a bit formal, and I am certainly not formal most of the time. Maybe Mother Chook or Muzza Hen, or maybe The Homely Chook!
ReplyDeleteOr Homely Hen?! lol...
DeleteI do like Muzza Hen though as we (my sisters and I) often call our mother Muzza!
One of the things I love about your blog is that the title flows into your post name. I think it's a clever play on words!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tegan... Believe it or not that was totally by accident! Wasn't planned, just kind of happened that way and I like it :))
DeleteI second what Tegan has said about your blog...I'm amazed you manage to keep the link between the blog name and post title every time!
ReplyDeleteI recently posted about the story behind my blog name.(http://www.overacuppacoffee.com/the-story-behind-over-cups-of-coffee/) and while there are times I wonder if it's not a cool enough name, it still means a lot to me given my love for coffee and the meaning it has in my life.
Yes, coffee has meaning...I'm such an addict! :P
Thanks Psych! I love that it flows as well! Totally not planned! I think your name is totally cool and I loved reading your explanation!
DeleteI love how your blog name lends itself to a million blog post titles ... It's Time ... and then you can add anything. So cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks Janet! I love that aspect of my blog as well... Totally unplanned but love how it's worked out that way!
DeleteI like my blog name and thought of changing it when I changed locations but I was a bit attached to it really but the original idea changed and it didn't feel like a fit. Well I kept it but changed my subtitle to fit all the places in. I like yours.
ReplyDeleteI like your name, it is like you can discuss anything you feel like.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog title, it's one that leaves the door wide open to so many different types of posts.
ReplyDeleteI know when mine was SMOM, I felt stuck in a way of thinking I should be concentrating on only motherhood. I realised there was more to me than that and changed it :)
