I am currently in Canada staying with my friend who I met almost exactly 10 years ago on a bus tour in the UK!
As a fellow country music lover, for years now she has been suggesting I come visit her in August as that is when the Havelock Country Jamboree is on. So this year I made sure I worked that into my travel plans.
So this past weekend we hooked up the camper trailer and despite a rough start to the weekend (ok so maybe the camper trailer wasn't actually hooked up and fell off the back of the ute as we turned the corner just up the road!) we had an awesome time, drinking, dancing and listening to some fantastic country music.
They estimated that there was over 70,000 people in attendance!
